The new 2015 Subaru Legacy, named The Car Connection’s Best Car To Buy 2015

The redesigned 2015 Subaru Legacy was announced today as the winner of The Car Connection’s Best Car To Buy 2015 Award, beating out its fellow Subaru nominee, the 2015 Outback crossover (no doubt a crushing blow to the elderly hippie from those tree-hugger Outback commercials). The Legacy also bested other new or updated 2015 models, including the Acura TLX, Ford F-150, Ford Mustang, Honda Fit, Hyundai Genesis, Hyundai Sonata, Mercedes-Benz C-Class, Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class, and the kid-tested, McConaughey-approved Lincoln MKC. Check out their video review of the Legacy below:

World Record Performance: Watch a Subaru BRZ break a Guinness World Record

The 2015 Subaru Legacy inherits the Best Car To Buy title from another Subaru model, the 2014 Forester. Other previous winners include the 2011 Hyundai Sonata, 2012 Ford Focus, and 2013 Ford Fusion.

The Car Connection ranks the value of vehicles by judging them on six separate criteria: the interior/exterior, comfort and quality, features, performance, safety, and fuel economy. The 2015 Subaru Legacy scored an 8 out of 10 in the performance, interior/exterior, and fuel economy departments, and an impressive 9 out of 10 for its safety, features, and comfort and quality; giving the family-sedan an overall rating of 8.6.

In their video review, The Car Connection praises Subaru for its commitment to enhancing the look, comfort, refinement, and value of each generation of the Legacy. They’re top pick when it comes to trims is the Legacy Premium four-cylinder model, which is loaded with EyeSight, lane-departure warnings, rear cross-traffic alerts, active cruise control, and new steering-responsive fog lights – all for a price that’s below $26,000.

The Legacy does lose points for an unremarkable design and a merely adequate infotainment system. However, thanks to a wealth of safety features and creature comforts provided at a reasonable price, The Car Connection claims that “the value for the money here is indisputable.”
