2015 Volvo S60

What’s New for the 2015 Volvo S60?

The 2015 Volvo S60 gains a new Drive-E four-cylinder engine, the first of a new engine family that will eventually replace all existing engines in the Volvo lineup.

2015 Volvo S60 Exterior

The 2015 Volvo S60’s message is clear: boxy Volvo sedans are a thing of the past. While it does borrow several classic Volvo styling cues, the attractive European four-door features a new, smooth front end, cleaner lines, and numerous LEDs and other details that show off the Swedish automaker’s meticulous attention to the little things.

2015 Volvo S60 Performance

The 2015 Volvo S60 offers four engines—two on the FWD models and two on the AWD models. The AWD engines are a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 producing 240 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, and a 2.0-liter supercharged i-4 producing 302 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. The FWD engines are a 2.5-liter turbocharged i-5 producing 250 horsepower and 266 lb-ft of torque, and a 3.0-liter turbocharged i-6 producing 325 hp and 354 lb-ft of torque.

2015 Volvo S60 Efficiency

As always, fuel efficiency depends on displacement and power output. The 2015 Volvo S60’s smallest engine—the turbocharged i-4—is rated at an impressive 25 mpg city/37 mpg highway; the supercharged i-4 at 24/25, the i-5 at 20/29, and the i-6 at 17/24.

2015 Volvo S60 Interior

The 2015 Volvo S60 continues the standard the brand has set for highly-supportive and comfortable seats. With the right options, they can also be heated both in front and in the back. Infotainment system navigation is easy to see and operate, and a high-quality MultEQ sound system from Audyssey Laboratories delivers crisp and clear sound to enhance the comfortable ride.

2015 Volvo S60 Safety

Volvo is well known for its safe cars and the 2015 Volvo S60 is no exception. The sedan comes standard with City Safety, which automatically applies brakes in low-speed situations to avoid frontal collisions, Collision Warning with Full Auto Brake, and Pedestrian Collision with Full Auto Brake, as well as the full standard package of stability control, traction control, and antilock disc brakes.
