2016 Buick Cascada Priced at $33,990; Cascada Premium $36,990
Buick will be offering a convertible in the United States for the first time in a quarter-century when the 2016 Cascada drops later this year. To help give prospective drivers a sense of what kind of buck they’ll be shelling out for the bang, Buick has announced Cascada pricing as starting out at $33,990.
Given that the Cascada’s closest lateral competitor is the Audi A3 Cabriolet, it’s not surprising the Buick is marketing its convertible as a better value with a $3,535 lower price point, more horsepower, and standard heated front seats and steering wheel.
“Cascada expands Buick’s lineup with a uniquely fun and personal driving experience,” said Duncan Aldred, vice president of Buick. “With a lower price than key competitors, it also promises to shake up the segment—and look good doing it.”
To help matters, Buick is quantifying the price difference between its convertible at the A3 Cabrio, noting that buying a Cascada would afford customers a three-night stay at Canyon Ranch in Tucson, a suite of smart products (specifically, a 128 GB iPhone 6s, 128 GB iPad Pro with Wi-Fi, 64 GB Apple TV, and Apple Watch), and an eight-hour rental of a 54-foot yacht in Miami.
Alternatively, customers could plug $3,000 of that savings into upgrading to the Cascada Premium, which adds Forward Collision Alert, Lane Departure Warning, automatic headlamp control with tunnel detection, Front and Rear Park Assist, Rainsense automatic windshield wipers, 20-inch wheels with “diamond graphic” bi-color finish, and front and rear air deflectors.
