We are less than a month away from the 2016 Chevy Camaro’s May 16th debut, and with each new emerging detail, the sixth-gen Camaro seems to more closely resemble the Six Million Dollar Man: it’s faster, stronger, and according to today’s announcement, more technologically advanced.

According to a recent GM press release, the 2016 Camaro’s new tech allows drivers to better “tailor the car to the moment,” whether they’re on the highway or the racetrack.

“We wanted to build on the flexibility of the current Camaro ZL1, which is great for grand touring, commuting, the drag strip and track days,” said Camaro lead development engineer Aaron Link. “The new Camaro will be even more adaptable, with up to eight vehicle attributes adjusted to fit a driver’s preference.”

Boasting that the upcoming Camaro will set the technological benchmark for its segment, GM says that the car’s new Drive Mode Selector optimizes calibrations for throttle progression, steering, stability control, and more on a variety of settings including Snow/Ice, Tour, Sport, and Track (on SS models only).

Magnetic Ride Control, previously only an option on the Camaro ZL1, will now be available on SS models, as well. The active damping system offers preset Tour, Sport, and Track settings, which adjust the ride and handling balance for optimal performance.

An additional enhanced dual-mode exhaust system features electronically controlled valves that, when accelerating, can bypass the mufflers and deliver better performance and sound levels. It also features both Stealth and Track modes.
