2016 Chevy Silverado commercial Trailer

Chevy has brought back it’s questionably-titled “Real People, Not Actors” series of commercials to promote the 2016 Silverado. In recently released ads, the bowtie brand has played up the 2016 Chevy Silverado’s built-in 4G LTE WiFi, as well as the pickup truck’s best-in-class, 420-horsepower V8 engine.

In the latest video, Chevrolet is again touting the supremacy of the Silverado’s 6.2-liter V8, but this time the American automaker has found an interesting way to illustrate how that power translates into trailering capabilities.

Take a look:

Similar to the math problem ad for the Equinox and the “Doors” ad for the Colorado, the secret point of this commercial is for Chevy to publicly shame some dummies.

These guys claim to be “truck guys,” but are they smart enough to pass a test on the subject? A test which is made up of three questions, all of which have the same exact answer? Sadly, it appears not.

“I feel like I’m in school,” says Dennis, in a tone that suggests he did not like school very much.

Well, hopefully they’ve all learned their lesson: that the answer to every question in life is always “2016 Chevy Silverado.”
