2016 Honda Odyssey Awarded Five-Star Safety Rating from NHTSA
The new 2016 Honda Odyssey has received a five-star overall safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the highest rating given out by the government institution.
The Odyssey minivan received five stars in the front and side crash tests, and scored four stars in the rollover crash test.
The new 2016 model features a host of standard safety equipment, including antilock brakes, vehicle stability assist, and a rearview camera. The EX-L, Touring, and Touring Elite trims are equipped with forward-collision warning and lane-departure warning systems.

The 2016 Honda Odyssey has yet to be rated by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), but the 2015 model received “good” scores in all crash tests and was named an IIHS 2015 Top Safety Pick. Since the 2016 Odyssey is a carryover model, the results will probably be similar.
The Odyssey is currently on sale at dealerships nationwide, and earlier this month Honda released information on pricing and official EPA fuel efficiency estimates.
