Lexus is proud of its commitment to the environment. With six Lexus hybrid models in production, there are many options for eco-conscious drivers who want to drive a luxury vehicle. Today, Lexus unveiled a redesigned Lexus ES 300h for the 2016 model year that’s ready to rule the road.

The most noticeable difference is the striking new exterior. The design overhaul includes a one-piece spindle grille highlighted with satin chrome trim and 17-inch alloy wheels. LED headlights are now standard and the shape of the headlights is more distinctive. The 2016 Lexus ES 300h also features a redesigned front fascia, and the rear of the vehicle emulates the Lexus LS’ L-themed taillights.

The Lexus Hybrid Drive system is ready to move the 2016 Lexus ES 300h with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder Atkinson Cycle engine with an electric motor that generates 200 hp when working together. The driving situation will dictate if the gas or electric engine will move the vehicle, and the Lexus Hybrid Drive system’s indicator keeps track of overall efficiency.

The driver has the choice between four modes while driving: Sport, Eco, EV, and Normal. The Sport mode turns gauges red, and makes the vehicle respond more like a sports car. Eco mode will make the most of the fuel in your tank, and EV mode uses only battery power for short distances and lower speeds (like in city traffic). Normal mode is what the majority of drivers will use every day for efficient driving that doesn’t skimp on performance.

Technology also has a starring role in the cabin, with many available features like the Display Audio system, Bluetooth® audio, HD Radio™, and more. Using the new Lexus Enform Service Connect, owners can keep track of what their car needs and use the MyLexusBeyond app or a website to send themselves alerts for standard maintenance or any issues that may need to be checked out at a dealership.
