2016 Lexus RXThe next-generation Lexus RX has been revealed at the New York International Auto Show, and it’s a sight for sore eyes.

The RX finally catches up with the rest of the Lexus lineup, sporting the trademark spindle grille and jagged body lines that we’ve seen on other models like the RC. The RX is the best-selling vehicle in the brand’s history, representing 30% of all Lexus vehicles ever sold. People sure do love luxury crossovers here in the US.

Also new is the Lexus Safety System+, a suite of driver-assisting safety features that include a pre-collision system, lane departure alert, automatic high beams, dynamic cruise control, and an impressive Panoramic View Monitor that provides the driver with a virtual 360-degree view of the car’s surroundings.

The new RX will be powered by a 3.5-liter engine generating 300 horsepower though an eight-speed automatic transmission. It will run on regular pump gas and won’t require premium.

As we suspected, it will also be available as a hybrid like the previous generation. No numbers are available regarding the gas mileage, yet, however.
