Besides offering a high-tech and luxurious interior, the Mercedes-Benz GL-Class also offers a diverse selection of efficient and powerful engines. The 2016 Mercedes-Benz GL-Class competes in the same segment as the Lexus LX, Infiniti QX80, and Cadillac Escalade.

The 2016 Mercedes-Benz GL SUV comes in four trim levels: GL350 BlueTEC, GL450 4MATIC, GL550 4MATIC, and AMG GL63.

• The GL350 BlueTec comes equipped with a 3.0-liter turbocharged diesel V6 engine good for 240 horsepower and 455 lb-ft of torque.
• The GL450 packs a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine rated a 362 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque.
• The GL550 features a 4.6-liter twin-turbocharged V8 that’s capable of 429 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque.
• The GL63 AMG is loaded with a 5.5-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine, which pumps out a whopping 550 horsepower and 560 lb-ft of torque.

Every GL-Class model comes matched with a seven-speed automatic transmission with 4MATIC all-wheel drive.
