2016 Nissan Murano

The editing team at US News & World Report certainly has a soft spot in their heart for the Nissan Murano. The 2016 model turns heads while it’s on the road with its striking exterior, but according to this team the SUV is also a great value and the perfect choice for families.

A Ride For Families: Learn more about the Nissan Murano in this model overview

Last month, the publication added the 2016 Nissan Murano to its “Best Cars for the Money” list to represent the two-row SUV class. The editors gave the award to Nissan at the Chicago Auto Show, and remarked on how impressed they were with the quality of materials and technology in the vehicle considering its relatively low price tag.

The latest award that the Murano has won from US News & World Report is “Best 2-Row SUV for Families.” It makes sense that an SUV that’s a great value for the money would also be a great choice for families watching their pennies. The team that chooses the award-winning cars looked at a vehicle’s safety, reliability, and professional automotive reviews from around the world to determine who would drive home with the prizes in each of the 21 determined categories.

“Nissan is honored by the continuing recognition of our new Murano by the editors of US News & World Report,” Dan Mohnke, vice president, Nissan Chief Marketing Manager & Marketing Operations said. “Consumers seem to be in agreement with the publication’s assessment–sales of Murano are on fire in 2016, increasing more than 85 percent in February and more than 65 percent for year, compared to the same periods in 2015.”

The Nissan Murano was redesigned for the 2015 model year, and the vehicle has been impressing reviewers and drivers ever since with its interior and exterior features. We wouldn’t be surprised if the Murano continued to pick up awards in the years to come.
