2016 Nissan Titan to Be Unveiled at NAIAS 2015
As the Titan has grown in popularity with consumers, it has been practically begging for a redesign. At long last, Nissan is finally giving in and moving their truck into the next generation. Edmunds reports that the all-new fresh-faced 2016 Nissan Titan will be unveiled in about a year, at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show.
Edmunds reports that we can plan to see a gasoline V6 engine, a complete redesign, and a regular cab configuration. Nissan has already confirmed that the new 2015 Titan will receive an optional Cummins V6 diesel engine; it was leaked back in February by TFLTruck that the Titan will generate no more than 275 horsepower and 560 lb-ft of torque.
If Nissan can provide an entry-level model and a regular cab option, along with better power numbers and fuel economy for the V8, we think the Titan will see a long overdue sales boost. Keep an eye out for glimpses of the 2016 Nissan Titan later this year.
Let us know what you think: does the 2016 Nissan Titan sound like it will have the stuff to get in the mix in the full-size pickup race?
