The 2016 Ram 1500 was named the Best Full-Size Truck for the Money

Full-size pickups are made to get the job done—and to get it done right. But it can be hard to determine which pickup truck is the best in its segment. Now, though, you don’t have to wonder any longer.

Every year, US News & World Report lists the Best Cars for the Money award winners for each of the industry’s segments. This year—for the third consecutive year—the magazine has named the 2016 Ram 1500 as the Best Full-Size Truck for the Money.

“At Ram, we set out to create the best trucks in the market, and this award from US News acknowledges the positive quality and value equation of our Ram 1500,” said Mike Manley, Head of Ram Truck Brand for FCA Global. “In a highly competitive segment, Ram is committed to technology and innovation leadership. Proof that commitment is a long list of best-in-class titles, including America’s most fuel-efficient full-size pickup truck at 29 mpg.”

US News determined the Best Cars for the Money winner of each segment by combining each candidate’s quality, which is determined by the vehicle’s overall score in US News rankings, with its value data. These combined numbers are then used to create a composite score, which allow the vehicles to be ranked. Only then do the editors at the prestigious magazine determine the best-of-the-best in value.
