2016 Toyota Yaris Updated for UK Market
The Toyota Yaris is a cute hatchback that has found success on both sides of the pond, and for the 2016 model year, our neighbo(u)rs over in the UK will enjoy a refreshed Yaris that includes a new Design trim to replace the outgoing Sport trim.
The new Yaris Design trim comes with a gloss black honeycomb mesh grille, LED taillights and daytime running lights, chrome fog light surrounds, projector headlights, 16-inch wheels, Bluetooth, a rearview camera, cruise control, and more.
In addition, Toyota will offer a bi-color option for an extra £795, which adds contrast with an Eclipse Black metallic finish on the A-pillars, upper grille, roof, and side mirrors. This option will be available with two exterior colors: Vermillion Red and Glacier Pearl White; the latter color also includes two-tone grey seats.
On the Yaris Active hybrid trim, a new Spinne black cloth seat trim will be standard. The Icon model receives DAB digital radio, cruise control, rear privacy glass, and 15-inch alloy wheels. The Excel hybrid trim now has automatic windshield wipers and headlights, a cooled glove compartment, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, 16-inch wheels, and rear power windows.
The Yaris adds two new packages—Convenience (£950), available on the petrol and diesel Design trims; and Premium (£1,095), available on the Excel Hybrid. The Convenience package includes keyless entry, automatic headlights and wipers, dual-zone climate control, and auto-folding mirrors. The Premium package offers a panoramic roof, keyless entry, a rear spoiler, auto-folding side mirrors, and Toyota Touch 2 with Go navigation.
The Yaris is available for order in the UK right now, and deliveries will begin later this month.
