Buick has been building up the release of its redesigned LaCrosse for more than a year now and pricing information has just started to trickle in for the new sedan.

Cars.com has reported that when the 2017 LaCrosse arrives at US dealerships in July, it will carry a starting MSRP of $32,990, which includes shipping costs. This price means the base 2017 LaCrosse will cost roughly $1,000 more than the entry-level version of the 2016 model.

The 2017 LaCrosse has been branded as the new face of Buick and owes much of its design to the popular Avenir Concept that Buick first showed off at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show. Underneath its hood, the new LaCrosse will feature a 3.6-liter V6 engine with direct injection and dual overhead cams that Buick estimates will produce 305 horsepower and 268 lb-ft of torque. This new engine will include stop/stop technology in order to reduce fuel consumption, though the American luxury brand has yet to release official fuel economy data.

The 2017 LaCrosse will be approximately 300 pounds lighter than the outgoing model, while a revised suspension should make the sedan more nimble. In addition, the new LaCrosse will make use of an eight-speed automatic transmission. Additionally, while front-wheel drive comes standard, a twin-clutch all-wheel drive system will also be available that will make the new LaCrosse even quicker when accelerating and cornering.

As for the interior, a standard eight-inch touchscreen system is compatible with both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Other available features include a heated steering wheel; Premium Bose audio system; and leather seats that offer massaging, heating, and cooling capabilities.

Additional information regarding the LaCrosse’s various trim levels will be announced closer to the vehicle’s official launch.
