Those who have been patiently awaiting the arrival of Cadillac’s next great crossover can today rest easy knowing that they don’t have long to wait. They can now also start figuring out about how much it’s going to cost them to get one.

It was announced this week that the new 2017 Cadillac XT5 will be arriving at dealerships around the United States in early April, and that orders can be placed with dealers now. Pricing was announced as beginning at $38,995 (plus $995 destination fee and additional fees and taxes) for the base model and topping out at $62,500 for the XT5 Platinum. Further pricing details, including options and packages, will likely be revealed closer to launch.

The 2017 XT5 is ostensibly the replacement for the best-selling Cadillac SRX, and it will be just one of four new crossovers Cadillac intends to produce over the next four years.

“The arrival of this sophisticated new crossover positions Cadillac well, as XT5 enters the most popular segment in the global luxury market,” said Cadillac President Johan de Nysschen. “It’s pivotal to our ongoing growth, which is why we’ve developed XT5 from the inside out to provide customers more space, more technology, more luxury, and more efficiency.”
