In the few short months since it’s been released, the 2017 Chevy Bolt has already been named the Detroit Free Press Car of the Year and Motor Tend Car of the Year, but now it can also say it’s the 2017 North American Car of the Year.

The Bolt EV beat out the Genesis G90 and Volvo S90 to earn this previous title, which was given to the Bolt at the North American International Auto Show. More than 60 well-respected automotive journalists from the US and Canada voted on this award and it’s the fourth consecutive year that Chevy won either the Car or Truck of the Year crown.

The Bolt EV features an all-electric driving range of 238 miles, putting it on par with the Tesla Model S and X when it comes to just how far it can travel on a single charge. In addition, the new Chevy Bolt carries a starting MSRP of $37,495, which means it could cost less than $30,000 for those people who are eligible for the $7,500 tax incentive.

“The Bolt EV fulfills Chevrolet’s promise to offer an affordable, long-range electric,” said Mark Reuss, executive vice president, GM Global Product Development. “It is a game-changer that is not only a great electric vehicle; it’s a great vehicle — period.”

The 2017 Bolt was initially only available to consumers in California and Oregon, but Chevrolet is delivering more Bolts this winter to dealerships in New York, Massachusetts, and Virginia.

Besides winning numerous accolades from the automotive industry, the Chevy Bolt has also been praised for its eco-friendly powertrain, as this model was selected as the Green Car of the Year.
