2017 Chicago Auto Show Photo Gallery: Jeep Showcases Vehicle Models That Stand Out
In an automotive world where vehicles across brands are becoming noticeably more homogeneous, Jeep has continued to find a way to make its vehicles stand out in the crowd. One of the best times of the year for Jeep to truly stand out is during the Chicago Auto Show. For the 2017 Chicago Auto Show, Jeep brought forth some of its most unique vehicle models, both commercial and conceptual.
The main attraction of the Chicago Auto Show for Jeep was undoubtedly the 2017 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Recon. This special edition Wrangler model is designed to be the most off-road capable Jeep vehicle in the brand’s entire lineup. The Rubicon Recon sees the addition of cast covers for the rear differentials and tougher housing tubes for the front axle, adding to the endurance of the already tough 2017 Jeep Wrangler.
Other special edition Jeep models on display during the show included the 2017 Jeep Renegade Desert Hawk. In addition to performance upgrades, like a Jeep Active Drive Low 4×4 System, the Renegade Desert Hawk also receives cosmetic touches, like the McKinley leather-trimmed seats featured inside the cabin.
Jeep and Mopar used the Chicago Auto Show as a venue to once again showcase their Jeep CJ66 Concept vehicle. Drawing inspiration and design cues from past Jeep vehicles, such as the 1966 Jeep CJ Universal Tuxedo Park, the CJ66 Concept reflects the best that Jeep has to offer, both from the past and from the present.
The Jeep vehicles that made an appearance during the 2017 Chicago Auto Show included the 2017 Jeep Wrangler, the 2017 Jeep Renegade, the 2017 Jeep Compass, the 2017 Jeep Cherokee, the 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and the Jeep CJ66 Concept vehicle.
