2017 Ford C-MAX Hybrid

In the hopes that it will help revitalize lagging sales, Ford has revealed that pricing for the 2017 C-Max Hybrid and C-Max Energi will be lower than that of the 2016 model.

Before the application of available tax incentives and including the $875 destination charge, the 2017 Ford C-Max Hybrid will carry a $24,995 starting MSRP and the 2017 Ford C-Max Energi will start at $27,995 MSRP. While the former reflects a somewhat insignificant $50 dip in price from the starting MSRP of the 2016 C-Max Hybrid, the price of the 2017 C-Max Energi clocks in $4,650 lower than that of last year’s model.

Apart from some minor visual exterior tweaks, the most significant non-price-point-related update for the 2017 C-Max is the addition of a Titanium trim to both the C-Max Hybrid and C-Max Energi. The 2017 Ford C-Max Hybrid Titanium starts at $27,995, and the 2017 Ford C-Max Energi Titanium starts at $30,995, both including fees. The C-Max Hybrid Titanium adds 17-inch Machined-Aluminum wheels with High Contrast Painted Pockets, heated and leather-trimmed front seats, and reverse sensing system. The C-Max Energi Titanium adds ambient lighting, HomeLink® Universal Transmitter, and Ford SYNC 3.

Otherwise, the 2017 Ford C-Max is more or less unchanged. The C-Max Hybrid is offered with a 2.0-liter iVCT Atkinson-cycle I-4 hybrid engine and electric motor partnered with a 1.4 kWh lithium-ion battery and eCVT, a combination which returns an EPA-estimated 42 mpg city and 38 mpg highway. The C-Max Energi upgrades to a 7.6 kWh battery pack, which allows for an estimated 104 mpg city and 87 mph highway.
