The Northwest Outdoor Activity Vehicle of the Year Mudfest saw 27 different crossovers, sport utility vehicles, and trucks trying to grab one of six superlatives: compact, premium compact, family, premium, pickup, and extreme capability. To earn their trophies, each vehicle had to stand up to off-road testing from the 28 members of the Northwest Automotive Press Association at Ridge Motorsports Park in Shelton, Washington.

When all was said and done, despite some stiff competition, the Raptor was clearly the cleverest girl in its segment.

“The pickups category was extremely tough this year,” said Tuan Huynh, NWAPA Mudfest Event Chair, Northwest Automotive Press Association. “Ford F-150 Raptor won the hearts of our members for its prowess both on-road and off over two days of rigorous testing.”

The 2017 F-150 Raptor already has quite the trophy case to its name, having earned Pickup Truck of the Year from FOUR WHEELER, Best Pickup for 2017 from Cars.com, and Truck of the Year from both Popular Mechanics and AutoGuide.com.
