The first ever turbocharged Honda Civic Si
The 2017 Honda Civic Si Coupe and Sedan just had their big world premiere—not at an auto show, but in a new video.
Broadcast worldwide on Honda’s YouTube channel, the new video introduces car shoppers to both the two-door coupe and the four-door sedan variants of the new Si, which will go on-sale next month with an MSRP in the mid-$20,000 range.

“The 2017 Honda Civic Si is our first turbocharged Si and sets a new sporty compact benchmark in terms of agility and precise handling while building toward the launch of the Type R as the final chapter in our epic 10th-generation Civic story,” said Honda executive Jeff Conrad.
For the first time ever, the new Civic Si is powered by a high-torque 1.5-liter, directed-injected and turbocharged DOHC in-line 4-cylinder engine with dual variable cam timing (dual VTC). That motor is paired to a short-throw, 6-speed manual transmission, and boasts an increased peak horsepower of 205 hp and an improved peak torque of 192 lb-ft.
Building off of the sporty design of the standard Civic, the new Si feature an aggressive black “wing” front fascia with larger side air intake features, 18-inch 10-spoke alloy wheels with a model-exclusive two-tone finish, 235mm-wide low-profile tires, a chrome center-mounted polygonal exhaust finisher, and larger rear side vent features and a deck lid spoiler that incorporates an LED brake light. Inside, the Si features Si-exclusive bolstered front sport seats with red stitching (including stitched Si logos), a red driver’s TFT meter and audio system illumination, aluminum sport pedals, and Dry Metal Carbon instrument panel trim.
New comfort and convenience features include an electronic parking brake, walk away door locking, dual-zone climate control, heated front seats, and a 7-inch Display Audio touchscreen with integrated Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.
