Honda didn’t host any press conferences or debuts at this year’s 2016 Chicago Auto Show, but the automaker did have a sizeable display at the event, with the centerpiece being a blacked-out special edition of the recently unveiled 2017 Honda Ridgeline pickup.

The 2017 Honda Ridgeline Black Edition has a sleek and sexy look that was worth checking in-person (though unfortunately, when I asked, I was told they were not providing demonstrations of the vehicle’s innovative in-bed audio system).

Honda also brought along a heavily customized 2017 Ridgeline to Chicago, which was designed to show off the long list of add-ons available for the new truck.

The 2017 Honda Ridgeline on the showroom floor featured a variety of Honda Genuine Accessories, including stylish and functional additions like black roof rails, black cross bars, black fender flares, 18” Black Glint wheels with all-terrain tires, and a die cast running board. The custom unibody truck was also toughened up with a hard tonneau cover, a skid plate, a ball mount towing kit and a 2” trailer ball:

The redesigned 2017 Honda Ridgeline will go on sale during the first half of this year. Truck buyers hoping for a closer look can check out both the Ridgeline Black Edition and the Honda Genuine Accessories Ridgeline by visiting the Chicago Auto Show this week, before it closes on February 21, 2016.
