The 2017 Kia Optima carries a starting MSRP of $22,200 and earns up to 31 mpg combined
Kelley Blue Book just granted the 2017 Kia Optima and 2017 Kia Sportage with “Top 10 Most Awarded Vehicles of 2017” status. To compound upon this win, the KBB also ranked the Kia brand as a whole as one of the “10 Most Awarded Brands of 2017.”

Orth Hedrick, vice president of product planning at Kia Motors America, gratefully acknowledged the Optima and Sportage’s recent accolades: “This latest honor from Kelley Blue Book reconfirms the Optima and Sportage as outstanding offerings in their segments and acknowledges Kia’s world-class vehicle line-up.”

As two of Kia’s star models, both the 2017 Optima and 2017 Sportage have been racking up awards this year. The family-friendly, affordable Optima made the Best Family Sedans list as well as the KBB’s “10 Best Sedans Under $25,000” list. Hybrid and plug-in versions of this model earned the Optima “Best Hybrids Under $40,000” status.

The 2017 Sportage has done pretty well for itself, too. With more consumers preferring SUVs this year according to industry sales reports, it’s no wonder the Sportage is thriving. The 2017 Sportage is a notable pick for families who crave a small SUV with high safety and a low price tag. Kelley Blue Book named one of the “10 Best SUVs Under $25,000” as well as one of the “12 Best Family Cars.” It also achieved honors in the “Small SUV Best Buy” category.

These recent awards elevate the Kia brand to a competitive status amidst other major American manufacturers. As Orth Hedrick elaborated: “The fact that Kia is on our prestigious list of the 10 Most Awarded brands and two Kia models made our equally prestigious 10 Most Awarded Cars list demonstrates quite clearly that the Kia brand belongs in the top echelon of carmakers competing in the North American market.”
