2017 Kia Rio Overview

The Kia Rio returns this year with minor changes to the sporty sedan, including new exterior colors and the exclusion of others. On the base LX trim, drivers can now choose red or black, while the Digital Yellow color has been discontinued this year. What’s New for the 2017 Kia Rio?

Aside from exterior color changes, the 2017 Kia Rio also returns with upgrades inside, including the ability to add UVO3 eServices. The infotainment system includes voice-command navigation, music app connectivity, and expanded storage for around 2,000 songs.

Under the hood of the 2017 Kia Rio is a 1.6-liter four-cylinder GDI engine. The base LX trim can be mated to a six-speed manual transmission or a six-speed automatic, while the EX is only available with the automatic transmission. No matter which transmission, both vehicles pump out 138 horsepower and 123 lb-ft of torque.
