2017 Porsche 718 Boxster Performance

There are two new engine options that are available for the 2017 Porsche 718 Boxster. The standard engine is a turbocharged 2.0-liter horizontally opposed four-cylinder that pumps out 300 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. This four-cylinder engine provides 35 more horsepower and 43 additional lb-ft of torque over last year’s 2.7-liter six-cylinder motor. The other engine option is a 2.5-liter turbocharged horizontally opposed four-cylinder that’s good for 350 horsepower and 309-lf-ft of torque. The 2.5-liter engine comes standard in the 718 Boxster S, allowing the machine to reach 60 mph in as  little as 4.0 seconds. Both engines can be matched with either a six-speed manual or seven-speed PDK transmission.
