General Motors Mexico has confirmed that the next-generation Buick Enclave will be available in the country sometime in the near future, and that it will be bringing with it Buick’s new Avenir sub-brand.

“The arrival of the 2018 Buick Enclave represents the beginning of a new phase for Buick thanks to the arrival of our first Avenir vehicle,” said Pamela Arteaga, Marketing Manager for Buick, GMC, and Cadillac. “Buick Enclave is and always has been an alternative designed for the demands of the daily life of a knowledgeable and demanding public. We are sure that this new generation will continue to position itself as such and much better.”

The key selling points for the 2018 Buick Enclave are many, including a much-refined exterior—including Buick’s new grille design and the first application of Evonik Acrylite exterior lighting—and a powertrain consisting of a new 3.6-liter V6 paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission for output of 305 horsepower and 259 lb-ft of torque.

Lovers of top-shelf luxury will want to spring for the Enclave Avenir, which adds a dark, 3D mesh grille, exclusive wheels, and premium colors and materials on the interior including wood trim for the steering wheel for an added feeling of opulence and exclusivity.

Other features offered with the 2018 Buick Avenir include Rear Camera Mirror, eight-inch infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, Teen Driver, Rear Seat Reminder, and OnStar 4G LTE with built-in Wi-Fi.

Buick did not reveal exactly when the Enclave is expected to arrive in Mexico, though Arteaga narrowed its release down to Q4 2018.

“For the fourth quarter of this year, Buick will have the freshest and most modern lineup with all its models under 21 months old. This new product is Buick’s promise to offer quality vehicles and substance.”
