As a Cadillac sedan, the 2018 Cadillac XTS provides a luxury commute for everyday drivers with its new technology and a comfortable interior. The sedan also allows drivers to feel stylish and sporty with its sleek and defined exterior. What’s New for the 2018 Cadillac XTS?

As a luxury sedan, the Cadillac XTS functions as a home-away-from-home for many commuters and everyday drivers. For the 2018 model year, Cadillac has upgraded the interior experience for those drivers with the addition of the Cadillac User Experience system as well as improvements on existing tech features. The XTS’ exterior has also been updated with a refreshed front nose and rear.

The 2018 Cadillac XTS is available in five trims: XTS, Luxury, Premium Luxury, Platinum, and Platinum V-Sport TT.

2018 Cadillac XTS Exterior

Both ends of the Cadillac XTS have been updated for the 2018 model year. For distinguishing customization, each trim level offers a unique set of wheels on the XTS, with 19-inch Pearl Nick premium painted wheels with chrome inserts as the standard, and 20-inch V-Sport premium painted aluminum materials on the range-topping trim. Technology also makes its way to the outside of the XTS with heated, power-adjustable, folding mrirors with integrated turn signals and available IntelliBeam® headlamps.

The 2018 Cadillac XTS is available in nine exterior colors: Dark Adriatic Blue Metallic, Black Raven, Bronze Dune Metallic, Crystal White Tricoat, Stone Gray Metallic, Phantom Gray Metallic, Radiant Silver Metallic, Red Horizon Tintcoat, and Stellar Black Metallic.

2018 Cadillac XTS Performance

Standard on the new Cadillac XTS is a 3.6-liter V6 engine with Variable Valve Timing (VVT) paired to a six-speed automatic transmission, producing 304 horsepower and 264 lb-ft of torque. The range-topping Platinum V-Sport TT trim comes with a 3.6-liter Twin Turbo V6 engine producing 410 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque.

The Cadillac XTS comes standard with front-wheel drive (FWD) with available all-wheel drive (AWD); the Platinum V-Sport TT comes standard with AWD.

2018 Cadillac XTS Efficiency

When paired with the standard V6 engine, the 2018 Cadillac XTS is available with front-wheel drive (FWD) or all-wheel drive (AWD). The FWD configuration earns the XTS an estimated 18 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway. When paired to the AWD, the XTS earns an estimated 17 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway.

The larger, Twin Turbo V6 is only available in an AWD configuration, decreasing fuel economy rates slightly to an estimated 16 mpg in the city and 23 mpg on the highway.

As with all Cadillacs, the 2018 XTS’ interior includes the most advanced and luxurious technologies. Standard on the XTS, drivers can experience modern technologies like wireless charging, a Bose® premium eight-speaker sound system, and a rear-vision camera. The Luxury offers a new and improved Cadillac User Experience system with embedded navigation to make driving a bit easier for everyone.

The 2018 Cadillac XTS is available in two interior colors: Jet Black and Maple Sugar with Jet Black Accents.

With plenty of standard safety features throughout the cabin and built into the vehicle, drivers can rest easy behind the wheel of the 2018 Cadillac XTS. But now, parents of teen drivers can rest easy too with Teen Driver mode. This mode allows parents to monitor and regulate their teen’s driving by setting driving restrictions, such as maximum speed and limited volume and audio access. The goal of Teen Driver is to help parents teach their kids about good driving habits, even when the parent isn’t in the passenger’s seat.
