2018 Chevrolet Spark Launches in Thailand
Famous New Jersey man and purported Boss (and perhaps also applesauce) Bruce Springsteen once famously said: “You can’t start a fire without a spark.” General Motors Vietnam is looking to start up a whole conflagration, apparently, as it has unveiled the new version of the Chevrolet Spark. It’s great for driving, even if you like dancing in the dark.
“The 2018 Chevrolet Spark has been updated to provide our customers with the most convenient and enjoyable driving experience on narrow city streets,” said Sumito Ishii, GM Southeast Asia Vice President of Vehicle Sales, Service, and Marketing. “With improvements in both design and technology, we have optimized the utility of the Spark to deliver a compact urban vehicle that is a good companion in both work and life.”

Of particular note is the difference between the variants of the 2018 Chevy Spark. The Spark LS and Spark LT are your typical five-seat compact vehicles, but the Spark Duo is a two-seater that can carry approximately 239 kilograms (524.7 pounds) of cargo. Pricing for the Spark LS starts at VND 359 million (approximately $15,792 USD), the Spark LT starts at VND 389 million (approximately $17,112 USD), and the Spark Duo starts at VND 299 million (approximately $13,153 USD).
Prominent features for the 2018 Chevrolet Spark include a 1.2-liter engine and five-speed manual transmission, center door locks, Chevrolet MyLink II infotainment with seven-inch touchscreen, and redesigned instrument cluster. The Spark is offered in six different colors: Summit White, Super Red, Switchblade Silver Metallic, Green Cocktail Metallic, Moroccan Blue Metallic, and Ice Teal Metallic.
