Considering that Earth Day is just a few days away, the 2018 Chevy Bolt model’s latest award comes at the perfect time. U.S. News & World Report just revealed their “Best Hybrid and Electric Cars of 2018” list—and the Chevy Bolt ranked #1 for the electric vehicle category. The publication praised the vehicle for its “punchy electric motor, nimble handling, spacious cabin, and long list of available technology.” It offers a winning combination of value, efficiency, and quality that its competitors don’t.

Although the Model X and Model S from Tesla have more extensive ranges than the Chevy Bolt, they can’t match the markedly lower price tag of $37,495 MSRP. According to the automaker’s website, the estimated price point is $29,995 after the Federal Tax Credit has been applied.

Efficiency and technology are two of the Bolt model’s other strengths. It can travel 238 miles on a single charge, as estimated by the EPA. Convenient features let you stay connected to your favorite apps while on the go. Contemporary infotainment options include the Chevrolet MyLink 10.2-inch diagonal color touchscreen, Bluetooth, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, OnStar 4G LTE, and the 8-inch diagonal Driver Information Center. You can also enjoy thoughtful touches such as leather seating and a leather-wrapped and heated steering wheel, when you opt for the Premier trim.

Protective amenities on the Bolt will boost your confidence on the road. Advanced safety features make it worthy of its 2017 IIHS Top Safety Pick status, when the model is equipped with the optional Driver Confidence II Package. This version offers superior peace of mind by offering Surround Vision, Side Blind Zone Alert, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Rear Park Assist, and a rear camera.

We congratulate Chevrolet for it’s newest accolade for the 2018 Bolt EV, and anticipate this model’s future awards as the year unfolds.
