What’s New for the 2018 GMC Savana Cargo Van?

This year, the interior technology of the GMC Savana Cargo Van is receiving an upgrade. Now, the van comes standard with a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot so you can stay connected on any long journey. An OnStar Basic Plan is included as well for five years to give you peace of mind. GMC also added a Diesel engine option to the Savana Cargo Van for the 2018 model year.

The exterior of the Savana Cargo Van has hardly changed over the years. It’s your standard van, with a square body and a simplistic look. Three engines are available on the 2018 GMC Savana Cargo Van, all of which air paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The standard engine across both trim levels is a 4.3-liter V6, producing 276 horsepower and 298 lb-ft of torque. The larger option is a 6.0-liter V8 SFI engine, which produces 341 horsepower and 373 lb-ft of torque. For a focus on towing capacity, you can opt for the 2.8-liter Duramax Turbo-Diesel inline four-cylinder engine, which produces 181 horsepower 369 lb-ft of torque. The Savana Cargo Van also offers max trailering of 10,000 pounds.
