It’s a good time to be the 2018 Honda Accord. Having been last week named the “Overall Best Buy” of 2018 in Kelley Blue Book’s annual competition, the all-new model was once again recognized by the publication with the 2018 Kelley Blue Book Best Auto Tech Award.

According to KBB.com, technology has in recent years become one of the great differentiators between competing cars because in other categories, such as comfort, safety, and handling, cars are steadily becoming more and more equal. The “Best Auto Tech Award,” then, is supposed to help guide buyers who are struggling to tell vehicles apart on the basis of their comfort and performance and who just want to know which car has the best technology.

The award is granted to two vehicles: one from a mainstream brand and one from a luxury brand. As you might have garnered, the Honda Accord falls under the former category and Kelley Blue Book had nothing but praise to heap on it. It lauded the car’s numerous advanced and standard tech features, which include Honda Sensing, as well as its many available features, such as 4G LTE in-car Wi-Fi, automatic Bluetooth phone pairing, wireless device charging, and the six-inch driver’s Head Up Display (HUD).

“The fact that a family sedan starting in the mid-$20,000 range offers such a comprehensive suite of standard safety technology is impressive, considering that some manufacturers still require buyers to opt for pricey top-of-the-line trim levels to get these features, if they offer them at all,” said Michael Harley, group managing editor for Kelley Blue Book.
