2018 Honda HR-V

The 2018 Honda HR-V will go on sale at dealerships nationwide today, carrying a starting Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price of $19,570. That represents a $205 increase in price over the 2017 model year, and does not include the tax, license, registration, or $940 destination charge.

The minor change in price represents minor changes to the popular Honda model, which mainly boil down to a new exterior color option available on select trims, Aegean Blue Metallic, and a refreshed wheel design with black-painted inserts that is available on EX and higher trims.

The $19,570 base LX model with six-speed manual transmission returns EPA mileage ratings of 25/33/28 mpg in city/highway/combined. For $20,370, buyers can get an LX featuring a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT), which improves the fuel economy to 28/34/31 mpg. The AWD LX with CVT costs $21,670 and is rated at 27/31/29 mpg.

For the EX trim, prices have been set at $21,620 for the 2WD model with six-speed manual transmission, $22,420 for the 2WD model with CVT, and $23,720 for the AWD with CVT. All three EX models feature the same fuel economy ratings as their respective LX trims.

The EX-L with Navigation and 2WD is set at $25,040, and features EPA fuel economy ratings of 28/34/31 mpg. The trim-topping EX-L with Navigation and AWD, which has mileage ratings of 27/31/29 mpg, costs $26,340. Both models feature a Continuously Variable Transmission.

Honda has high hopes for the 2018 HR-V, following the success of the 2017 model, which has set new monthly sales records in every month of this year.
