If you’re ready to go off-road on your summer road trip, then grab the wheel of the 2018 Jeep Renegade. According to U.S. News & World Report, the 2018 Renegade delivers a smooth ride with its exceptional off-road capability as well as requires a smaller investment than its sibling the Wrangler with better fuel economy to boot. That’s why it made the pub’s list of “The Best Road Trip Cars.”

“Whether on city streets or dusty trails, the subcompact Renegade is nimble and confidence-inspiring,” reports U.S. News & World Report Writer John M. Vincent.

The 2018 Renegade’s 1.4-liter inline-four MultiAir® Turbo engine, whether it’s paired to a six-speed C635 manual or nine-speed 948TE automatic transmission, earns an EPA-estimated rating of 24 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway.

The 2018 Renegade is available at six trim levels — Sport, Latitude, Altitude, Upland, Limited, and Trailhawk. All trims except the Trailhawk® and Upland are available in a 4×2 or 4×4 configurations; the Trailhawk and Upland are only available in a 4×4 configuration.

The trims best suited to tackle your road-trip adventures are the Limited and Trailhawk, according to Vincent who notes that the Limited is ideal for city excursions and the Trailhawk® is the best partner for off-roading journeys.

The 2018 Jeep Renegade Limited features leather-trimmed bucket seats, heated front seats, a power eight-way driver seat and manual four-way passenger seat, and a heated steering wheel for optimal comfort.

The 2018 Jeep Renegade Trailhawk features a hood decal, all-season floor mats, and Metal Diamond steering wheel bezel.
