The 2018 Lincoln Navigator is without question one of the hottest-selling vehicles in the industry this year, let alone in the luxury segment. In September, sales of the Navigator were up 77 percent, and its sales through the first three quarters of the year are up 81.9 percent. Not only is the Navigator racking up sales, but it’s earning plaudits: It recently earned a spot on the 2018 Wards 10 Best User Experiences list, which awards vehicles that simplify the interaction between vehicle and person.

In its write-up, Wards said that the all-new Navigator “reflects a new height of American opulence, but behind exquisite form is a carload of function, from forward and reverse sensing systems, to an impressive 10-inch center touchscreen packed with utility, to a head-up display with the brightest and biggest windshield-projected informational display in its class.”

Other Navigator features earning praise include adaptive cruise control and 3D mapping functions. The available rear-seat entertainment system also got a shout-out, offering passengers in the backseat the ability to stream content directly to seatback-embedded monitors.

The 2018 Lincoln Navigator also earned a spot on the 2018 Wards 10 Best Interiors list earlier this year, and pairing that with the latest accolade reinforces the fact that the full-size SUV is more a home away from home than a mere daily driver. The Navigator also became the first American vehicle to top J.D. Power’s Automotive Performance, Execution, and Layout study, and it earned the North American Truck of the Year award at the start of 2018.
