2018 Nissan LEAF Earns World Recognition Again

This year marks the second time the Nissan LEAF has earned world-wide recognition. In 2011, the all-electric vehicle (EV), the first 100% EV to do so, was named the “World Green Car of the Year” by the World Car Awards. Now, in 2018, the all-new LEAF is repeating its world domination as it continues to drive Nissan’s goal for drivers to rethink how they drive, what they drive, and how it all fits together into the social order.

The best-selling electric vehicle has garnered plenty of attention and awards for Nissan since its debut, and the newest generation of the LEAF features the automaker’s most advanced driving assist technologies including ProPILOT Assist and e-Pedal, both of which fall under Nissan’s Intelligent Mobility design philosophy.

The 2018 Nissan LEAF is available at three trim levels: S, SV, and SL. Each trim is equipped with a 110 kW AC synchronous electric motor with 40kWh lithium-ion battery. The 2018 LEAF generates 147 horsepower and 236 lb-ft of torque and ears 151 miles of electric range.
The prestigious award was announced at the 2018 New York International Auto Show.
