Athletic, powerful, and thrilling to drive, the 2018 Nissan Maxima is also a great value.

According to U.S. News & World Report Writer John M. Vincent, the 2018 Nissan Maxima, which earned an 8.6 out of 10 in the publication’s assessment, it’s one of the best-equipped vehicles in the large car segment.

The 2018 Maxima is available at five trim levels — S, SV, SL, SR, and Platinum. Each trim is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine paired to an Xtronic Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT®) with Drive Mode Selector. This powertrain churns out 300 horsepower and 261 lb-ft of torque.

“Though there’s no horsepower bump, you can increase the Maxima’s handling prowess by opting for the SR trim. It includes an upgraded sports suspension, paddle shifters for the transmission, 19-inch alloy wheels, aluminum sport pedals, and an electronic chassis management system that adjusts the suspension for different road and driving conditions,” reports Vincent.

The 2018 Maxima is also well-equipped with advanced driver assist technologies; standard safety features include Intelligent Forward Collision Warning, Automatic Emergency Braking, Nissan Vehicle Immobilizer System, a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) with Easy-Fill Tire Alert, Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) with Traction Control System (TCS), and a Vehicle Security System.

The 2018 Maxima also features standard tech to keep you easily connected on the road including the Nissan Navigation System, Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ compatibility, Nissan Voice Recognition for audio and navigation, SiriusXM® Traffic and Travel Link with three-month complimentary trial access, and Bluetooth® hands-free phone system.
