The 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan is heading into the last part of 2017 with high praise; Cars.com has just deemed the all-new 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan the “Best Compact SUV of 2017.”

According to Volkswagen media, the Tiguan SE 4Motion with panoramic sunroof, along with six other competitors, were put to the test in the suburbs of Chicago and were evaluated on their spaciousness, value, how not frustrating it is to install a child-safety seat in the vehicle, and how impressive the “as equipped driver assistance technologies” performed. The Cars.com judges also gave points on front-seat comfort, interior quality, cargo storage, backseat comfort, handling, powertrain, in-cabin storage, ride quality, multimedia, visibility, and noise.

According to Volkswagen media, all the vehicles competing for the title retain an MSRP of no more than $35,000 and that includes destination charges and all options.

“The 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan impressed the judges with its roominess and value,” said Jennifer Newman, Editor-in-Chief, Cars.com. “The cargo capability is top of the class, making this small SUV a huge advantage for shoppers concerned about getting the most room for the money. The Tiguan is also a great option for families, earning the highest possible marks in Cars.com’s Car Seat Check.”
