The 2019 Cadillac Escalade Sport Edition

If you prefer your Escalades with gloss black accents instead of gleaming chrome, stay tuned. Cadillac is introducing a blacked-out new look for its flagship luxury SUV at this week’s Los Angeles Auto Show.

Starting next year, the 2019 Cadillac Escalade will offer a Sport Edition package for its Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Platinum trims.

The Escalade Sport Edition will include these exclusive features:

  • A gloss black front grille.
  • Gloss black window moldings and body-side moldings.
  • Other gloss black exterior accents.
  • 22-inch wheels with a unique Midnight Silver finish.

The Sport Edition package can be ordered starting early in 2019. It will cost $2,700 in addition to the selected trim’s starting MSRP.

Two decades after its introduction, the Escalade remains the segment’s benchmark and sales leader,” said Cadillac President Steve Carlisle. “The Sport Edition extends that momentum in response to customer and dealer demand for a dark and aggressive look.”

In addition to their aggressively blacked-out styling, Sport Edition Escalades will come with all the model’s other premium features. Available in both 2WD and 4WD configurations, each Escalade trim comes equipped with a 6.2-liter V8 engine that pumps out 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. Standard Magnetic Ride Control and selectable driving modes give the Escalade a comfortable yet agile feel on the road.

The Escalade also offers standard amenities like heated and cooled front seats, a heated and leather-wrapped steering wheel, a premium 16-speaker Bose audio system, wireless charging, Automatic Parking Assist, and a hands-free power liftgate.
