Cadillac debuts its first-ever crossover SUV this model year, perfect for young families and working professionals. The 2019 XT4 offers energetic performance and noteworthy efficiency, paired with a sporty appearance and the latest technology.

The 2019 Cadillac XT4 is available at three trim levels: Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Sport. Each trim level can use a front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive configuration.

What’s New?

The XT4 is a new addition to the Cadillac lineup, so we really can’t compare it to any previous versions (since there aren’t any). However, the model promises to cater to those who value the family-friendly amenities of its larger brother, the XT5, but prefer more eco-friendly mileage and a more concise profile.

Performance

The 2019 XT4 elaborates on the brand’s reputation for producing potent models. Each trim is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. This powertrain generates 237 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque, which should suit moderate needs for speed — an impressive rating for a crossover SUV.

Efficiency

The XT4 excels when it comes to eco-friendly performance. Though, the model yields different mileage depending on whether you opt for front-wheel drive (FWD) or all-wheel drive (AWD). When equipped with FWD, the XT4 attains 24 mpg in the city, 30 mpg on the highway, and 26 mpg combined. When equipped with AWD, the model achieves 22 mpg in the city, 29 mpg on the highway, and 24 mpg combined.

Interior

The cabin of the XT4 can be as sophisticated or as sporty as you wish. Select the Luxury or Premium Luxury versions to take advantage of two-way power lumbar front seats and Active Noise Cancellation technology, as well as SiriusXM NavTraffic and SiriusXM Radio. Upgrade to the Sport trim to enjoy four-way power lumbar front seats, alloy pedals, power seatback bolsters, a Sport leather-wrapped steering wheel and ambient lighting.
