2019 Cadillac XT4 to Offer an Available Trailering Package
Some Cadillac fans rave about the 2019 XT4 crossover’s sporty looks and posh cabin. Others gravitate toward the model’s eco-friendly mileage, rated at 30 mpg on the highway. Now, there’s one more feature to appreciate: the Trailering Package.
Details about the package
Cadillac just announced this new optional feature of the XT4. While this small crossover won’t be mighty enough to tow a larger camper, the trailering package will still expand your options. The package includes a wire harness, a 2-inch trailer hitch receiver, and a heavy-duty cooling system. It imparts the vehicle with a 3,500-pound towing capacity. That means you can bring along a small trailer to help a neighbor move, or bring along a motorcycle on your next vacation.
Per Cadillac, the Trailering Package will be available across all trim levels of the XT4. You can also select the package whether you choose a 2WD or AWD drivetrain. And, the package should cost just $300, according to Cadillac Society — a reasonable price considering the added functionality the feature will bring.
Additional features to anticipate
Besides the Trailering Package, the automaker has also elaborated on the XT4’s capability in a few other ways. For one thing, the model incorporates a Tripower engine, to offer drivers three different modes based on performance needs: a four-cylinder performance mode, four-cylinder eco mode, and a two-cylinder eco mode. Cadillac has also equipped the crossover with Near-Field Communication (NFC) technology. This helps minimize time and hassle spent pairing your smartphone with the vehicle’s infotainment system.
Stay tuned more news on the 2019 XT4 in the days ahead, as this concise ride establishes its presence in the small crossover segment this fall.
