If you’ve been anticipating the new Chevy Blazer that the brand will release for the 2019 model year, you’re one step closer to experiencing this offering’s features and cosmetics. According to  Joel Stocksdale, contributor with Autoblog, the spy shots are in.

Although the automaker hasn’t confirmed or denied that this model will bridge the gap between the Equinox and Traverse, experts are betting that it will. While some think that Chevy will dub this fresh offering as “Blazer,” it’s also possible that it will opt for the more adventurous route of giving it a totally new name.

Judging from the vehicle’s profile and proportions, some think that the 2019 Blazer will have a transverse-mounted engine paired with the consumer’s choice of front- or all-wheel drive. Another prediction is that it will borrow the GMC Acadia’s shortened C1XX platform.

The overall look of the new Blazer promises to be more sporty and chiseled than past versions of the model. A high beltline and low roof are additional facets of the 2019 version.

Inside, the new Blazer is predicted to incorporate the cool circular air vents found in the Camaro model and the steering wheel found in the Silverado. A hexagonal frame on the dashboard seems to indicate a more experimental design to the conventional MyLink touchscreen popular on quite a few of the brand’s vehicles.

Only time will tell exactly when Chevrolet will choose to reveal its revived Blazer model and what it will choose to name it. Until then, we fans must continue to wait on the edge of our seats and feast upon the few spy shots that we possess.
