Get ready to meet the new face of the Sierra in March

The official unveiling of the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado late last year answered numerous questions surrounding the model. At the same time, its reveal also managed to raise a few questions.

Among those new inquiries was “Where is the 2019 GMC Sierra?” Indeed, the Silverado’s GMC-based cousin was not at the Silverado’s official reveal, nor did it make an appearance during the North American International Auto Show.

Those eagerly anticipating the unveiling of the next generation of GMC Sierra pickups won’t have to wait much longer. The 2019 GMC Sierra will make its official debut on March 1.

This information was revealed in an e-mail sent by a GMC representative to automotive reporters at The Drive. The new Sierra is reportedly set to be unveiled at an event taking place at the Russell Industrial Center in Detroit.

Of course, not every model from the Sierra lineup will be revealed at that time. Indeed, only the Sierra 1500 will be showcased at the event, with separate unveiling events for the Sierra’s heavy duty models.

One model that will reportedly be revealed at the time is the Sierra’s Denali variant. The Denali trim of the GMC Sierra is a classy spin on the classic pickup truck, and the popularity of GMC’s Denali lineup has grown exponentially in recent years.

In the past, the badging was the only major difference between the Chevy Silverado and the GMC Sierra. In recent years, however, the designs of the trucks have begun to differ quite a lot, meaning that this brand-new Sierra might look radically different than its Silverado counterpart.

To observe the differences between these two GM pickup trucks, enthusiasts will simply have to wait until March 1.
