2019 Ram 1500 Earns Top Award from Southern Automotive Media Association
Praised for its “sunny” disposition, the 2019 Ram 1500 earned highest honors at the recent Southern Automotive Media Association’s Topless in Miami Competition Presented by Haartz. Driving away with the “Sunny Pickup Truck” title, the 2019 Ram 1500 bested its competition thanks to its expansive dual-pane panoramic sunroof.
“With 10 square feet of sky view, the expansive sunroof amplifies the truck’s spaciousness, providing an open-view experience for both the front and rear passengers,” said Jamie Florez, SAMA president.
After cruising around the most picturesque areas of Key Biscayne, Florida, journalists cast their vote for the vehicle that provided the highest ride quality, most advanced technology, exceptional design and “overall open-air experience.”
The 2019 Ram 1500 is available at five trim levels: Tradesman, Big Horn/Lone Star, Laramie, Laramie Longhorn®, and Limited. Choose between two cab configurations (Quad Cab and Crew Cab), two box lengths (6-foot-4 inches and 5-foot-7-inches), and two drivetrains (4×2 and 4×4). The 2019 Ram 1500 features three engine choices: a 3.6-liter V6 with eTorque, 5.7-liter V8 HEMI®, and 5.7-liter V8 HEMI® with eTorque.
“The all-new 2019 Ram 1500 has added class-leading luxury and comfort features, yet remains a no-compromise truck,” said Mike Manley, Head of Ram Brand. “Truck buyers are looking for more features, higher capability and greater convenience. We’re pleased that the Ram 1500’s new panoramic sunroof has earned the Southern Automotive Media Association’s top pickup honor.”
When properly equipped, the 2019 Ram 1500 boasts a towing capability of 12,750 pounds and features a 12-inch touchscreen to accommodate the new Uconnect 4C infotainment system.
