Ram fans should be prepared to hand over a bit more cash for the latest Ram pickup

Due in part to how popular pickup trucks are becoming throughout the automotive industry, the 2019 Ram 1500 is currently one of the year’s most anticipated new models. Ever since the new Ram was first revealed at the North American International Auto Show in January, enthusiasts have been waiting with bated breath for more details about the pickup.

Ram recently shared a very important piece of information about the new Ram 1500: its price. The 2019 Ram 1500 will have an initial asking price of $31,695.

The Ram 1500’s new starting MSRP is significantly higher than its previous iteration. As it stands now, the 2018 Ram 1500 has an initial asking price of $27,095.

Of course, the 2019 Ram 1500 is set to receive quite a bit of technological upgrades to help justify the price hike. New features include an available 12-inch touchscreen, complete with FCA’s latest Uconnect system, and improved safety features, like Adaptive Cruise Control and Forward Collision Warning.

The all-new Ram 1500 is set to receive some all-new technologies

Even more technology is available when drivers upgrade to the Ram 1500’s Limited Crew Cab configuration. This refined 2019 Ram 1500 model has an initial asking price of $57,390, also a price increase compared to the current Ram 1500 Limited’s $53,295 pricetag.

Furthermore, the 2019 Ram 1500 will save drivers money at the gas pump with its improved fuel economy. While no official fuel efficiency ratings have been released yet, rumors suggest that the new Ram 1500 could achieve a combined fuel rating of 22 mpg.

“In launching the all-new 2019 Ram 1500, we knew it was important to offer class-leading features and technology. But it’s also important to offer our great product at a competitive price,” said Mike Manley, Head of the Ram Truck Brand. “We feel that we’ve delivered the right no-compromise mix that Ram Truck customers will appreciate.”
