3 Best Race Tracks in Florida

Florida is home to some of the best-known racetracks in the United States and is the birthplace of NASCAR. You don’t have to be a pro to enjoy these tracks, however. We’ve compiled this list of the three best race tracks in Florida that offer something for all ages and experience levels.

Sebring International Raceway

Location: 113 Midway Dr, Sebring, FL 33870

Types of Events: Sebring 12 Hour, SVRA Vintage Classic, Club events, Open Test Days & track rental

Rules: No off-road vehicles or personal golf carts, no drones, no pets, no bonfires

Sebring is home to one of the oldest endurance races in the United States; the 12 Hours of Sebring. Several clubs run events at the track, and those with current SCCA National or Regional Competition License may participate in SCCA Open Test Days. If you’re visiting for the weekend, there are a couple of hotels and campgrounds available near the track.

Palm Beach International Raceway

Location: 17133 Beeline Hwy, Jupiter, FL 33478

Types of Events: Drag strip, road course, kart track, mud bog

Rules: No pets, no glass containers. Hot pits are off-limits to minors and those with shorts and/or open toed shoes

Palm Beach has a little bit of something for everyone, with a drag strip, road course, kart track, and mud bog. The drag strip regularly hosts test & tunes, and several clubs run events on the road course. There is even a racing school that operates on the road course if you’re looking to go professional!

Daytona International Speedway

Location: 1801 W International Speedway Blvd, Daytona Beach, FL 32114

Types of Events: Bike Week, Daytona Supercross, Red Bull Global Rallycross, Coke Zero 400, Daytona 500, track tours, Richard Petty Driving Experience, ride alongs, exotic car driving experience

Rules: One soft bag/cooler no larger than 14 inches in any dimension, One lightweight backpack permitted. No weapons, hard sided coolers, glass containers, umbrellas, inflatable items, monopods/tripods, or bicycles/skates/skateboards. No smoking.

Odds are you’ve already heard of Daytona International Speedway. Daytona is home to one of the biggest races in NASCAR, the Daytona 500. While this superspeedway is known for hosting professional races, you can get track time in any of the driving experiences that they offer in either a stock car or exotic cars. The track is open to tours as well and even has an IMAX theater. Camping of all kinds is readily available near the track and it’s not too far from Daytona Beach.
