Texas is home to some great race tracks thanks to its warm weather and wide open spaces. We’ve chosen these three that offer something for all kinds of drivers and spectators, from beginner to professional and in between.

Types of Events: Oval track & road course, open track days, performance driving school

Rules: No glass containers, no pets, ATVs and dirtbikes on paved surfaces only

This track in College Station is one of only seven superspeedways in the US. It has hosted everything from NASCAR races to test & tunes, and even has open track days.

Types of Events: Stock car racing, airplane racing, drag racing, car shows

Rules: Soft coolers no larger than 14 inches, no glass containers, no strollers or umbrellas, no weapons or fireworks

Texas Motor Speedway also hosts NASCAR and other forms of stock car racing, and even hosts an air race! It wouldn’t be a proper speedway without plenty of camping space, and there is certainly no shortage of that. Bring the family down to watch thrilling, high-speed stock car racing.

Types of Events: Formula 1, motorcycle racing, road racing, endurance racing

Rules: No alcohol, no pets, no bags larger than 12x12x20, no glass or metal containers

The Circuit of the Americas is a very new track and has already hosted Formula 1 races and an Australian V8 Supercars race.
