It seems that February will bring more of what we got in January: a new set of Honda awards every other day. After four of its models were named in U.S. News & World Report’s 2018 “Best Cars for the Money” awards earlier this week, another three models took home honors in MotorWeek’s “Drivers’ Choice Awards.”

The 2018 Honda Civic was named the “Best Small Car,” the 2018 Honda Accord the “Best Family Sedan,” and the 2018 Honda Odyssey the “Best Minivan.” Even more impressive: it’s the third time in a row the Civic takes the award.

“Traditionally, we don’t bestow an award to any car more than two years in a row; but the latest Civic has been such a game changer, we had to evolve to keep up with it and think thrice,” MotorWeek’s editors admitted. “Truthfully, it was the fact that Honda unleashed not one, but two high-performance variants that really sealed the deal.”

MotorWeek also lauded the Accord—likely the most-awarded vehicle of the past few months—for being one of the main reasons the family sedan segment is no longer boring, and the Odyssey for almost single-handedly keeping the minivan segment alive.

The awards, which have been running annually since 1983, seek to honor the latest cars that offer the best combination of price, performance, fuel efficiency, and practicality. Given all of the other recognition the Civic, Accord, and Odyssey have been earning in the automotive industry, it’s no real surprise to see them rise to the top again in MotorWeek’s lineup.
