Stop speeding

While it may be tempting to cruise at five or 10 miles per hour above the speed limit, try to stay under the legally posted speed limit at all times during the new year. Use your turn signals

For some reason, there are a significant number of drivers out there who don’t use their turn signals (we’re looking at you, North Carolina). That way, they can plan their own actions behind the wheel accordingly.

Keep up with regular maintenance

If you break down on the side of the road, it’s more than an inconvenience. It can be a huge safety hazard for you and the drivers around you, especially at high speeds. In 2018, make an effort to keep up with regular maintenance including oil changes, tire rotations and replacements, and battery checks.
