Larger Mercedes vehicles are seeing a rise in popularity

The first half of 2015 is over. During the first six months of the year, Mercedes-Benz continuously delivered record sales in the US. June was no different.

28,044 vehicles were sold in the month of June. During June of 2014, 26,506 vehicles were sold. Overall, June sales of this year saw a 5.8% increase over sales from last year.

While not as large a climb compared to the improvement in sales during May, which saw an increase of 11.1% in sales, the improvement is still impressive.

For six months in a row, Mercedes-Benz has seen increases in unit sales. All together, the first half of 2015 has shattered records for the company’s overall sales.

182,128 Mercedes-Benz vehicles have been sold so far this year. During the first six months of 2014, 167,745 vehicles had been sold. Overall vehicle sales have seen an 8.6% increase between 2014 and 2015.

The 2015 C-Class once again led in sales

The C-Class was once again the leader of the pack, selling 8,316 units in June. In June of 2014, only 5,607 C-Class vehicles were sold, meaning a 48.3% increase in C-Class sales.

Meanwhile, the sales of the Mercedes light truck lineup increased 18.5% over the first six months of last year. Mercedes accredits this to the growing consumer demand for larger vehicles.

The automaker aims to continue its pattern of record-breaking sales during the second half of the year.
