While Hyundai has a short lineup of vehicles here in the USA, the Korean automaker’s been churning out dozens upon dozens of different cars around the world for decades. Although an overall young brand, Hyundai has still managed to produce some impressive models in its short lifespan.

5. The Tiburon
The majority of cars from Hyundai during the 1990s were embarrassingly boxy—functional, sure, but certainly not attractive. Then in 1996 came the Tiburon, aka the Hyundai Coupe.
Surviving five generations before being discontinued, the Hyundai Tiburon was not only a move forward in the automaker’s gradual advancement in style-conscious design, it was a fun vehicle in its own right. While its early generations were underwhelmingly “bare bones,” its latter generations benefited from a sporty interior and strong engine options like a V6. Too bad it ended up being retired.

4. The Tucson/ix35
Considering the Hyundai Tucson isn’t a jaw-droppingly amazing compact SUV, it’s impressive that it’s consistently chugged along since its debut in 2004. What’s even more notable is its widely successful launch in Europe as the ix35 and that on both continents, it’s considered a star for its combination of cost and size.
But that’s nothing compared to the reason the Tucson made it on our list. Instead of settling for being a safe, predictable SUV, the Tucson has become the first widely-produced vehicle ever to offer consumers a hydrogen-powered fuel cell drivetrain. If there’s one achievement that Hyundai doesn’t get enough attention for, it’s that–and we have the Tucson to thank for it.

3. The Veloster
A vastly underrated vehicle in Hyundai’s lineup, and easily the most unique, the Veloster is a compact sport coupe with three doors and a unmistakable rear end. Replacing the void left by the Tiburon, the Veloster doesn’t just simply retread the same, customary sports coupe territory–it takes chances and boasts a design incomparable to any competitors. Plus, its awesome variants like the Turbo Rally and Turbo R-Spec make a good thing even better.

2. The i20 Coupe
One of the many seemingly innocuous compact cars in Hyundai Indian and European lineups, the i20 Coupe is based on the i20 hatchback that has been around since 2009. However, the i20 Coupe doesn’t merely change the number of doors on the i20, the majority of the roof and pillar layouts are retooled. Even the front fascia and taillamps got an overhaul. The result? A sporty compact coupe with an available turbocharged engine that can still be used as a daily driver.
The reason the i20 Coupe made it so high on our list, though, is because it serves as the foundation of the brand’s new World Rally Championship race car. It takes a lot for a model to be driven as a WRC competitor, and the i20 Coupe doesn’t disappoint.

1. The Genesis Coupe
It’s unmistakable what a milestone the Genesis luxury sedan has served in Hyundai’s history, becoming the name- and torchbearer of the automaker’s own high-end Genesis brand. Carrying an impressive level of class for a lower-than-average cost, the Genesis embodies what the brand considers “everyday premium.”
While the sedan version of the Genesis is all well and good, it’s the coupe that truly shines. Consistently ranking highly in evaluations and lists of best sports cars, the Genesis Coupe dazzles with power options like a mighty 3.8-liter V6 with GDI and D-CVVT producing 344 horsepower and 292 lb-ft of torque. Honestly, it doesn’t get any better than that.
