The impact that a working vehicle can have on a nonprofit organization is huge. Before the nonprofit Together We Rise program received a new Toyota Tundra pickup truck from Toyota’s 100 Cars for Good program, their van was constantly overheating whenever they delivered bicycles to foster kids. Now that they have a brand new pickup, they’re able to give out as many as 400 bikes per trip.

“Previously when we traveled the country, we had to turn the heaters on full-blast to prevent our old truck from breaking down,” said Danny Mendoza, the founder of Together We Rise. “With the new Tundra it just makes life so much easier. Delivering these bikes is so important to help create a sense of normalcy and belonging for foster kids—something that often is missing in their lives.”

Starting this month, you can help a nonprofit organization benefit in the same way Together We Rise has by voting for Toyota’s 100 Cars for Good program. For 50 consecutive days until November 19, five finalists are selected every day, two of which will receive a new Toyota vehicle, based on the organizations with the highest number of public votes. Runner ups will receive a $1,000 grant from Toyota to support their work. The finalists reflect a variety of organizations, from disaster relief to educational programs and beyond and come from every state in the country.

Toyota has awarded 200 vehicles through the 100 Cars for Good program since its conception two years ago. Help support nonprofit organizations across the country by voting today!
